Midi (audio) Signal Wait Function (for Recording)

probably asked before but i couldn’t find it in forum search… so here goes,

when i try to record my midi keyboard playing i often miss the first few notes. fruity loops has this function that it can wait for a midi signal and when it sees the signal then it start recording OR triggers a count-in.

i have no idea if other people also would like to have this for renoise (it also handy for external gear and could also work this way with audio recording) and also no idea how much work this would be for taktik and co.

what do you all think ?

thanks

so… i take it there’s no interest in this ?

You mean punch-in? I think there were some other people requesting this feature…

Yeah i was looking for a count in the other day too
Couldn’t find it for love nor money , I better go look in the manual

Bungle

There is no count-in (yet). But there are a few threads where this has been requested a few times. This is even on my wishlist.

I personally use count-in patterns as a trick to compensate this lack(an empty pattern in size of 16 or 8 lines)
As of a MIDI event based trigger:this is a welcome addition as well.

+1 often needed when using midi keyboard
