I haven’t been using Renoise too long but I looked searched and AFAIK this hasn’t been implemented…
It would be really nice if when recording samples (or MIDI data, even), you could have a countdown before the actual song/pattern began. For example if I wanted to record a guitar solo into the sample editor, I have to start a pattern and wait for it to loop before I begin the solo, because obviously I can’t click ‘start recording’ and start the solo simutaneously. However, if I could click ‘start recording’, wait for a count of 3 or 4 or whatever (depending on time sig) before the song started, I could start the solo when the pattern started without waiting for it to loop.
I’ll feel dumb if there’s something like this but I don’t think there is…
