I had a quick look at the forum topics and couldn’t see this. Am I blind? From 2 days ago musicrader posted a poll on the best DAW. Get in there and VOTE VOTE VOTE!

You can either:

  1. Vote for the fun of it

  2. find your own deeper meaning why or why not to vote.

I voted for Renoise.

I voted Renoise too. Even several times. But that was not sufficient. Results here:

http://www.musicradar.com/tuition/tech/the-20-best-daw-software-apps-in-the-world-today-238905

Renoise takes the 15th place among 20 DAWs, but hey, it is also the best soundtracker ever

FWIW, I think it’s good publicity to be included in the list at all.

And IMO it would be suspicious if Renoise made it any higher than the top 5

Coming in at 15 is a pretty good showing.

My other favourite DAW came in at #19 (Tracktion Waveform8) - Feels bad man. :frowning: lol

Cool but the date on the article says February 27, 2017?!

True. Strange.

But their Facebook page confirm that votes have closed today.

I just had a look .

Renoise is placed at nr 15

Reaper at 6

Ableton 2

Fruit loops 1

It’s obvious , fruit loops is the most cracked downloaded program so all the kids vote for it .

Renoise /reaper should both be at nr. 1 …we grown up men , just know .

…Maaaybe if Renoise had a Piano-Roll it could steal some market share from the plethora of non-tracker stylised DAWs… hahahahaha

*fixed typo

Voted for Renoise, like every year. Wasn’t sure if I should (lack of high-dpi displays support makes it hard to recommend for me, “seeing” that I use FL Studio more currently, solely for this reason), but I still believe it’s the best tool.

Same. My allegiance is starting to drift. I’ve bought Tracktion Waveform 8 about two months ago since it, like Renoise, is insanely cheap but it does a good job on my 4K screen. It also means going back to a piano-roll but I like piano-rolls for broad edits. I just wish I could have both tracker and piano-roll integrated into the one product.

Is Waveform essentially Tracktion 8? I bought T4 (or maybe T3) a longer time ago, but didn’t stick with it because I missed some features (it did give me a Melodyne license, though, which was nice). Will check it out …

Rumour is that the russians influenced the 'DAW election ’

Be aware

Yup, They’ve rebranded themselves and their product. what would’ve been T8 is now Waveform 8. They’ve made some big changes and 8 is waaaay better than T7. It’s pretty much on-par with Bitwig now.
