Mutant Breaks #6

All songs are really great and is hard to choose between, but I am always fan of oldschool sounds so my pick is Dunks, Msymiakos, Taiji.

top 3 imo

mars.64 - Cuboctohedron - awesome drum programming !

lwpss - 01 bus rides make me sleepy - nice dreamy idm with classic flavor, maybe the best of all the 26 tracks

Taiji - Squarepusher-Iambic_9_Poetry(KenKoTaiji_Remix) - one of my favorite producers on soundcloud, producers from japan have different approach to breakcore which i can’t describe in words but i know i like it a lot :yeah:/>

I vote for me, d-fast, and poemss.

Sorry, who is this?

Aaron Funk, but he is beyond our competition :)

Haha, ok. Vote accepted!

I’m voting for:

  • Mars.64 (Awesome oldskool jungle flavour in this one. Great drum work and atmosphere.)
  • JinxRLM (YES! Nice ragga vibes and quality breaks and bass.)
  • Dunks (Loving those breaks and the jazzy vibes.)

Many great tunes. Some of them really took me back to the Amiga days

I’m vote for :

/ KURTZ … love this acid sound!
/ mars.64 … Sound feels good! I like also this drum.
/ Burital … I indulge in nostalgic mood. Break and chip sounds great!

Many great track… I was difficult to pick :walkman:

It’s Aaron Funk and Joanne Pollock. http://www.planet.mu/discography/ZIQ345

W rzeczy samej - Indeed :)

There’s a lot of excellent stuff in here, so good job to everyone and thanks for votes and comments.

My votes are dfast, sodiufas, and mars.64

mars.64 - Cuboctohedron
Awesome tune, floats nicely! Some unhealthy sounding crumbles in the electric piano, not sure if it’s intentional or not (the maximizer does it)

danoise - silicon rock
Great boogie, could use an xrns beside it ;)

KMaki - No ends in o
Definitely my most favorite mutanty break song in the bunch, loved the big-beatness.

Special mentions:

chunter (loved your sounds)
BYTE-Smasher (welcome back)
00.1 (seriously, I was really hoping for your tune to become an insane tribal idm thing with a whole lot more of that indian feeling. Guess I had some weird feeling of the song becoming Mr. Bungle - Ars Moriendi)
dfast (happy that I actually finished a song for once)
lwpss (great game like tune)
f+d+k (minimal hoovering around, enjoyed this one)

Good job everyone - especially conner_bw for holding these competitions and inspiring people to finish a song for once. At least that happened to me.

hi,

my top 3 :

danoise
Burita
lwpss l

I vote for dfast, lwpss and Taiji. And the correct version of my track u can download here https://soundcloud.com/sodiufas/pillars-of-creation

Argh, this is first time I see this. I only saw this post (#55) before so I rendered the XRNS myself.

Sorry if the render is inadequate. Great track.

My bad, I decided that the link in my signature would be enough :D
So, no probleme and thanks )

I have signatures turned off they are awful. :)/>

Lol

Thanks for the mention. I still have some kinks to work out - combining
electronic with acoustic sounds with bizarre rhythms and arrangements.
Its nice that Mr. Bungle came to mind - poly genre is a cool place to explore.
All influential credit goes to Hexnut’s cover of
Meshuggah’s - Soul Burn. And some rare piano covers of Meshuggah.

So, I really like all the tracks this year and since it’s the season forgiven…
