what about: used vsts must be rendered, so everyone can play the track in Renoise ?

Nah. If people want their xrns to be fully playable if they are sharing it publicly then it makes sense for them to render all vsts, but it’s not necessary if they are not planning to share the xrns

Humanity, eh? Humanity in the sense of “humaneness” or “mankind”?
I take it as “mankind”, which means the music could also be dark. 
Sound according to a theme. At least a little challenge in a “competition”.

Yes, it’s an unclear topic that can be interpreted in many ways and wasn’t my choice, but if music couldn’t “represent” humanity (or mankind) then nothing else could (except being mother Teresa). It doesn’t have to be abstract music, you could add vocals about humanity anytime. This way even the style wouldn’t matter.
Edit:
Just started today. This will be my first song this year. The word “humanity” will be included as vocals. Not sure if I should expand the word to few more words or even an entire song text, but there will be vocals.

When I thought about “Humanity” I was thinking mostly about:
- Heavy use of Delay column (so no hit is perfectly the same)
- Use of swing feature
- The humanization feature (make a selection and ctrl+H)
- Samples of real human voices and also acoustic instruments, or “Organic” sounds (this one is rather subjective). I also think of Matmos using surgery sounds haha. Maybe body sounds (from slaps to burps, if you may)

Great theme, humanity. And such nice vids as a starting point @slujr , I love these sounds even when the sound quality is bad…wish I had time to try entering the contest, but this time definitely decided against and for not even trying…last MBCs I always tried, but almost never finished. I simply have absolutely no time and energy and too many problems, and trying it again would make me postpone too many things which I cannot afford to get by. And I would not want to enter anything I already have, also have nothing I could enter that way even if I didn’t feel it was wrong.
I’ve decided to instead take all my time and work on all the tunes I had started one day, finishing them with the attention they deserve. It’s just I found that I’m against all forms of time pressure and competition and judgemental comparison of work of humans in general, it’s just not my thing, I reject that as it’s inhumane and I decided to just avoid such cultures in general. This is peace I understood: where people no longer are forced to compare with or pressure each other. Maybe this sounds like hell for some, but I’d rather want to go to such a place forever, than having to compete like humans usually want to. I never wanted, and finally found the courage to admit and to stop even pretending I should try.
I’m just sad for the nice theme, and these nice YT vids would yield great tunes about humanity. Maybe one day there’ll be an event where all can just submit their works, taking as much time as they need adding it as it’s completed, where none of the entrants will be put above or below another.
