My best buy since Renoise !

Recently i bought Two Vst that Contributed to my music production like never before

First is Drumatic 4 :

Now i dont need sample no more as this drum synth is so easy and powerfull.

Second is SIDizer :

As i am doing Chiptune and regular music this synth is a bomb it can do both at a Freaking good price and it is very very very strait foward !

So what’s Yours ?

Element. I got this $200 softsynth for $39 with a coupon code during their blowout sale last month. Sounds great!

I’ve messed around with Sidizer, and it really chomps CPU like nothing else. That default lead patch is boss though.

For me, well, I like Massive. With this vst I can get an idea of a sound in my head, and it’s very easy to dial whatever I want into it and get what I want. I love how you can easily route multiple parameters to one of the knobs that is easily automatable through Renoise. Ease of use is huge with me, and anyone who doesn’t believe me, try using Helix. (That thing’s a mess)

I guess Element’s on sale too. Maybe I’ll pick it up.

I can tell you my worst buy. It was only like $100, but NI’s Razor was awful. I thought I would be getting a mangle machine where I could get strange pads and Amon Tobin-like noises, but what I got was a limited synth with HUGE CPU issues. One instance with that thing could eat up 60% of my CPU.

Best buy since Renoise? My Renoise hoodie. ;)

My absolutely most favorite recent synth is Oxium, from Xils-lab.com. However, its not for everybody. I bought it nearly a year ago? Whenever it was first released… It had some bugs in Renoise but I worked with Xavier to get everything sorted out. ** Most of the important stuff sorted out.

The ice skin, that came with the recent group buy, causes problems… But if you use the original orange skin (which I happen to like a lot) the synth works great/stable… Make sure you demo throughly, because we all have different systems.

  1. Oxium is not going to be for everybody.

  2. Oxium is one of those synths that you need to, “spend time to learn,” because it reveals a lot of mysteries.

  3. The masque is really powerful, and perhaps one of the coolest gates ever made, but its not plug and play. You really have to tweak and feel that feature out.

Edit = “worked with Xavier.” is: emailing him and complaining and getting him to fix stuff. Not, “working in an office.” Just wanted to make that clear.

in terms of software?

Pianoteq.

It will probably be the Moog Sub Phatty that I’m picking up on Monday. Can’t wait :yeah:

Audulus - A very cool modular synth, it’s not as capable as Reaktor but I find it easier and more fun to use, the maths expression node makes it uber powerful. It’s mac/ipad only though…

I would probably have to say the Korg Electribe MX, followed closely by the Mini Kaoss Pad2 and Electribe SX

Last purchases was:

  • NI Reaktor with Razor, Skanner XT and The Mouth (last NI Reaktor sale)
  • E-Phonic Drumatic 4. Awesome drum synth, very versatile and awesome sound.
  • Klanghelm DC8C1 (now free update to DC8C2). One of the best compressor on the market right now and only 20 euro with free lifetime update! Can’t wait for SDRR!
  • AAS Chromaphone ($89 sale)

Now waiting for:

  • stw-audio next sale and new product (I’ll take Reflex Pro 2)
  • Dmitry Sches next sale and new product (I’ll get Diversion and probably new product)
(both sales should happened in Semptember)
  • u-he Satin (I’m not sure if I really need this, I’ll see)
  • waiting for a sale of NI Komplete

-GTA V!!!
-Xbox One with Forza 5! I’ll get a PS4 later with inFamous! (~april 2014)

a Behringer bcr2000, most versatile controller and amazing with Renoise, since Renoise is the best in terms of midi mapping (to be able to select if absolute, relative, etc…). Also, the Launchpad S. My first launchpad. I realize how awesome it is with Renoise and Duplex. So much better than with Ableton. I’m using Bidule as a VST and built a patch to switch Duplex layouts, well, just assigned them using an HID module inside Bidule. Renoise is the best in every aspect!

I’ve never purchased anything but software and (in the past) used hardware … but now I’m waiting for a KORG MS-20 to arrive any day :w00t:/>

In the meantime,

I’ve heard several good things about this. Being able to simulate both plucked/string/percussion, seems like quite a versatile instrument!

best since Renoise:
MAM FB383
Novation Bass Station
Novation Drum Station

José Ramirez R1 classical guitar

z3ta 2+ really my go to synth now

The best since I bought Renoise was without any doubt the

Access Virus C

the Launchpad

Waves Native Power Pack (Waves has now and then special prices)

How does Drumatic 4 compare to 3?

Drumatic 3 is cute lady…

Drumatic 4 is Jennifer Love Hewitt !

Nah seriously it is very awesome you should try the demo and see for yourself http://www.drumatic.info/

Couldn’t agree more. Superb synth.
