I thought that the new AMD 9000 series was using less power therefore easier to cool!?
Maybe you have to look into manually configuring fan speed in the BIOS.
I have a graphics card where I had to manually set the fan speed as it was also running unnecessarily loud, there’s a sweet spot and I get the feeling manufacturers don’t care this much.
Fan speed is set to minimum already in the Bios or to quit mode. That works, but I wonder why it uses so much CPU to resize the window in Renoise.
In my environment ( 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-12100
), the fan does not spin at full speed.
Ryzen seems to require its own treatment in some cases in the context of Arch Linux.
These include low-level areas and may apply to other distributions as well.
For me it isn’t that noticable if the volume meters are hidden.
