Does Renoise Supports *.iff Files?

Hi, I have large library of samples in iff format. Its my personal, collected for ages so I was very upset when I found that renouse don’t want to load them. Can it be solved? Maybe I need to write it in the ‘features request’ forum? Why iff? Its looped, it supprted by large number of trackers, including ft2,it, various trackers on Amiga. If its not in a plans, then maybe someone can recomend me some utility for converting iff to X where X is any file format, aceptable by renoise,sor…

Is There Proper Iff Sample Support?

For some reason I can’t load properly IFF samples, they sound heavily distorted and sample envelope shows nothing in the lower half. They work fine in Fasttracker 2, they sound fine if a FT2 module I load includes one. Is there an issue with Renoise or am I doing something wrong?

Can I load 8 bit amiga samples onto Renoise?

Also, use the wildcard * button on file browser to get IFF or whatever the old amiga format files are called to show, they’ll load… It takes some practice to get them to not sound like cheese against a typical Renoise instrument though.

I use Milkytracker only if i have to do a native 4-chan mod project. But getting good resampled iff-samples into there is pretty much hell if you want to get a good sound out of it.

Import Wav Samples

Hi! I found thousands of .WAV samples for FruityLoops which I can`t load into ReNoise. Can you add support for importing these WAV files that have compression[?] which is OGG VORBIS mode1? also would be great if you’ll add support for previewing samples that are mp3 [by default] and also possibility to import .8svx samples? I had thousands of 8svx [iff] samples from amiga, but luckily there is IFF to WAV converter [I used it on WinUAE to convert directories of 8svx to wav]… and… one more thin…

OctaMED v4 on Windows? How to set it up?

I can help you get WinUAE setup for OctaMED v4 if you want, it is very limited now though and would require using GoldWave (An annoying forever free trail or you would have to purchase) to convert your samples into .IFF. If you have a 32 bit windows though MED Soundstudio 2.1 is pretty much the same GUI wise but with more features and supports .WAV.

Old Sample Formats.

Hi Devs, good job so far, proud to be the owner of a great proggy. One suggestion I would like to make is to add the ability to load my old OctaMED-saved 8-bit iff’s from my wirelessly connected A1200T. It would be real nice if renoise could import these sample types (possibly via the “Amiga Explorer”?), rather than having to reload them all & save them as wavs. A lot of my sample collection resides on my old faithful, and I felt quite inspired when I listened to many of my old 4-channel effort…

i’ll have a look at .16vx too.
