Just curious … will there be another Renoise release coming soon? If so, what goodies can we expect?

Yes, the next release will fully integrate with Google and you will need to scan your eyeballs every 10 minutes to authenticate yourself to the cloud

I wouldn’t want a piano roll - it wouldn’t be a tracker then.

I’m just hoping for some workflow improvements on the pattern editor - colourisation of related sections, ability to minimise/fold sections -just simple things to help manage song structure visualisation overall.

Plans for Renoise?

The plan is to keep the project alive. But making Renoise open source won’t work IMHO. Making Renoise open source would just kill it softly, because the Renoise codebase is so old (grown) and huge that no one on earth could be keen enough to dive into that pile of source code and make something useful out of it. Maybe some people will manage to tweak a few things here and there, but it’s extremely unlikely that someone or a bunch of people will take over the whole project and make some major c…

It was good to read that post about future plans @taktik. I get where you’re coming from. I wish had time to help out myself to be honest - but I’m always short on time and struggle to find time to work on my my own projects as it is. Music used to be my hobby… but there are always too many (usually software!) projects in the pipeline and having work and family just doesn’t leave much time for me to do things either.
