I tried to teach myself Japanese once using a computer program called “The Rosetta Stone”. The idea was to learn the language in the same way a child does by listening to the words and associating them with pictures. I only spent about two hours with it but I remember most of the words even today, almost ten years later. I have no idea how to spell them but I’ll try:

Shkoki = Airplane
Taebru = Table
Boru = Ball
Onanoichto = Girl (can’t remember if it was a big girl or a little girl)

All of them are not right, but I think I get what you mean!

Japanese is not so difficult to be honest. People communicate using single words a lot of the time, so you can speak to people by exchangng keywords.

Example…

English- “Man, it is hotter than a mother f****er today!”

Japanese- “あつい” (“atsui!”) …means “HOT!”

It is quite a childish language for daily communication, actually. This is not a bad thing of course! Makes it very easy!
