i think it`s not necessary making a mutisample instruments. but it must be a clean square!

Hi,

Im currently making an instrument by sampling the ‘chip32’ vst. I want to make an instrument that is made from just pure square wave with no filter or other effects (straight up chip instrument).

Will it make any difference to the sound if i just use one square wave sample (4 cycles), loop it up and spread it across all octaves or alternatively multisample the vst at say C0, C1, C2, etc…?

I know for a piano or guitar instrument multisampling would make it better but as its just a simple square wave sample will multisampling make the instrument better or not? thanks for your help

Do you have Renoise 2.5 or are you still trying the demo?

2.5 has a new tutorial file demonstrating the simple use of one sine wave. (Not multisampled)
