May I just add that while there has been much noise about the Scripting feature, I forgot to mention another big thank you for the AutoSeek feature. It’s practically revolutionized my mixing workflow! No more back-tracking through songs to cue points waiting for minutes for a ‘moment’ to happen so I can mix it - nup, just scan right to moment I want and bang I can focus on it. Massive time saver. Hopefully this will make Renoise much more attractive to producers who work with long clips. Do it!!!
2.6 is also the version number I started using Fast Tracker II all those years ago… 14 years ago! Let’s hope Renoise makes it past 2.9

so far it was a joy to use the scripting framework. Overall stability from the first use, and a huge set of functions.

Sex on a stick! TBH I wasn’t hugely excited by the idea of this release, but having loaded my last track which twitched quite a lot using 2.5 on my ancient Powerbook G4, it’s smooth as a porn-queen’s punani in 2.6!
I’m probably imagining it but the GUI also looks a bit crisper / hi-res. Anyway, haven’t even tried Autoseek or any of the other goodies but am already well impressed.
Awesomeness and gratitude in droves… and I’m good for another 9 version upgrades - sweet!
