They don’t smoke enough pot like they did in the Vatican, that’s why you don’t see it being released.
Black smoke…again!
I don’t want the pope to replace all the onboard samples with gregorian choir samples.
BWAAAAHAHAHAHA i laughed so hard at the new thread title. love it
i want to share my 2 cents
if renoise never changed, i would be happy. i think it is perfect.
there is a point where program improvements become program changes, and over time these changes can negatively affect the program, despite having added features, though negative is only subjective to who the user is. i can imagine how hard it is for the developers to fulfill demands like piano roll and audio tracks, not because its difficult to code, but because its altering the way renoise functions and gets used. it is already really good at what it does, the way it does it.
thanks to everyone who has made renoise what it is today
The only thing I miss is not being able to have different length patterns in each track…besides that Renoise is about perfect.
People talking about dreaming about Renoise… I’m new to Renoise but last night I dreamed about turning on my computer and seeing Renoise 3.0 on the screen. It had audio tracks and new colors (what??).
That’s what I get for looking at the forum last night before bed.
So true. Features like piano roll and audio tracks would probably attract hordes of new users to the software, but those new users would soon start demanding more conventional type features that are not compatible with the tracker workflow in any meaningful way. On the other hand, how far can one build further on the tracker foundation? I think the day may come for Renoise to evolve into being both a tracker and a conventional DAW with a strong emphasis on detail level composition.
in a sense of this problem:
salute to all franken-daw these days.
If The new version take that long to arrive there is three Scenario :
First Scenario : The renoise devs are working on a huge update like a piano roll or midi vst compatibility
Second Scenario : The renoise devs are facing a huge challenge
Third Scenario : The renoise devs are putting less hours in programing cause of personal life or any time consuming reason
But behind any of these scenario there are good reason to back them and personally i am pretty sure that the first scenario is really what is happening right now !
Most probably first scenario.
Maybe second scenario.
Third scenario very unlikely
as soon as new renoise version come, someone will make a post complaining that release cycle is too fast.
Someone bump pls!!
Someone bump pls!!
MetalThrix, krixa, and jenoki already bumped it today, and you bumped it too. If you mean someone should pin it, that’s probably not going to happen.

I will be happy to lock the topic, but not pinning it
Everybody should just keep posting here at least every few hours so everybody can see that there is a new version, namely, if this topic’s not the top one anymore on the forums.

Or LV2… yes it’s gotta be those pesky LV2 plugins!
