So, today’s speculation:
I speculate that since it’s now possible to create a complete song in Renoise 3 alpha, I’ll place my money bet on audio tracks and linear arranger stuff along with recording audio to harddisc (hdd streaming). Maybe even a pianoroll. So, R3 will be more like a traditional DAW.

Granted. However, I’m pretty sure you placed out some kind of valid hint in that previous statement about Renoise 3 alpha.
So, my conclusion has to be that you meant that it’s possible to create a complete song in R3a - together. That’s got to be the major feature of Renoise 3.0 - online collaboration, i.e. multiple users working on the same Renoise song project. In a sense, a tracking gangbang. Not my cup of tea, but I’m sure lots of users would rather do it in Renoise than in Ohm Studio or other DAWs (Bitwig 2.0 when it comes out in the year 2019).

I got sick like hell for 3 weeks… i did think it was the end for me… the doctor did not find anything… now i feel bit better but when i was dying i was upset to die before seeing the new renoise… yes… what do you want… i like trackers… and the spirit behind it… i really hope you are going to release Renoise 3 before i left this world… life is so fragile mans we dont realise… Long life for renoise…!

WTF. Well, since this is the speculation thread, I need to speculate even more.
By that mysterous hint undertone comment, It-alien could simply mean that it’s possible to complete a song in R3a in the sense that we wouldn’t need any samples or virtual instruments. Which would then imply that R3 is introducing a native sound generator system (i.e. a synth), a sort of “batteries included” distribution. That could also explain the old taktik comment about having to re-code certain core aspects, as an integrated synth would integrate with lots of functionality in the way pattern effects etc behave.
Maybe even dblue’s little sample made with R3a is a hint… maybe those synth sounds are native to Renoise. Possibly even key aspects of Glitch2 could have been added to expand on R3’s internal effect commands.
Since I guess they will release a beta before Christmas (still four weeks to go…), I have to decide which speculation model of mine I’ll go for. It’s a tough one, but this native synth + more FX model above feels somewhat more plausible than the online collaborative model.

Yes, but this depends on the context and the meaning of the statement “complete song”. As I speculated yesterday, I think It-Alien meant something specific but blurred out, namely that R3a might ship with an internal synth. In that case, the statement could be interpreted to mean “you can now make a complete song in Renoise, using only Renoise’s own internal resources”, i.e. you won’t need to load 3rd party samples and VST’s anymore.
I also think that since It-Alien didn’t comment on this last speculation, the probability is higher that it’s correct.

Renoise 3 is a hardware sequencer.
The delay is just waiting for 3D printers to get to the level where it’ll be possible to distribute as a download through the backstage still.

i think the ver.3 news is just for refresh your licence, to get new budget for the devs in the last year…
after one year hard coding a bugfix is came out? why we dont need bugfixing… before the complete new version!!! (as taktik says)
if a programmer rebuild the code, who make bugfixing in the same time, no reason to do that…
