I am wondering whether the Chinese lunar rover is somehow connected to the next release of Renoise. Do they hope to get some secret ingredients or moon dust to beef up the features?

The rules state: “No offensive content, insulting or hard language”.
This is obviously a general rule that you should apply with a bit of common sense, while also being aware of the situation and context. In other words, we don’t care about holding your hand and censoring every little word you say. We simply mean that you should not directly attack anyone with aggressive and hateful language that is clearly insulting or abusive towards them personally.
I didn’t personally attack or hurl offensive abuse at hotelsinus, so I think we can safely rule that out. I just used a few fruity words in my response to him, and it seems to be these “hard” words that you object to? Perhaps you were genuinely offended by them, or perhaps you just felt like singling me out as a team member, and simply wanted to enjoy a little bit of back and forth with me in order to let off some steam. Who knows.
Let’s look at the words anyway. I said: bollocks, shit(ty), and piss(ed).
“Bollocks” is just British slang for “balls”. It’s practically a joke how mild and inoffensive this is to any typical English-speaking person.
“Pissed” is also mild and inoffensive. In America – arguably the world leader in unnecessary censorship – “pissed” is not even considered a swear word. I’ve seen/heard children use it on prime-time TV shows. So I think we can pretty safely assume that nobody here is getting offended by this word, either.
So that leaves “shit”. Is this the word you take most offense with? It seems unlikely, since this thread alone is full of instances of “shit” (and also “fuck”, by the way), and nobody has even batted an eyelid at those so far. I actually can’t even remember a single time where someone has reported a thread in the past simply for bad words, but that’s beside the point, I think.
I can do a quick forum search and find old posts by you, where you say “shit” and “bullshit”, so I don’t think you’re offended by this word. I can also find some instances where you openly refer to other forum members as “overzealous ass hats” and “infantile losers”.
But hey, I guess nobody’s perfect, right?
This is all a bit of a buzz killer.
dblue, with all due respect, you were a bit snappy in your initial response, which did sound aggressive. It wasn’t a big deal, and could have been defused in the traditional manner: with a smiley face. Or similar.

I think it’s best to jump to Renoise 3.1 and then 3.11 just like Microsoft. Everyone with skillz knows Windows 3.11 was the best Windows ever made.
Although win7 IMHO is a really good operating system (and I am a Linux users since 95, since the win 95 catastrophe). Renoise 7 would be quite interesting and will probably include song wizards which create raw songs based on your personal preferences as posted on Facebook and alike (yes, it derives your taste from your postings!)
I speculate that there will be a full on Nintendo emulation system, capable of emulating everything thing from NES to SNES to N64. All ROMS will be packaged as XRNS files so that you can open and manipulate them within Renoise.
