Yeah, they kinda reminds me of the General Midi-device I use as a monitorstand.
I managed to make an agro-trashmetal-rave-polka-tune out of it.

Edit: Nvm, for some reason I thought the deadline was today…
Lol <---- Because I already listened to your tune yesterday Apparently those genres have ummm… evolved over the past few years?
Wow, sounds like a tempting mixture :>
Mine will rather be like chanson francaise meets chiptune anglaise.
@organic io: Yeah, it’s a sub-sub-culture very few people know about. The tricky part is to make the different tempos to fit together. Just make sure you listen to the latest version. I forgot to tweak a sound the way I wanted to in the version I uploaded yesterday.
@keith101 ( ): So I guess nobody stole your computer, eh? “chanson francaise meets chiptune anglaise” is that french for “this tune sounds like sent from heaven”?
@everybody else: keith cheats! Vote for me!
Hey, this is pretty cool… I get to listen to Keith303 pre-release material! (gonna go listen now!)
Robbie and Keith – Very nice tunes both of you
Well, I’ve just PM-spammed everybody who participated in the tournament to remind them to vote this round. Hopefully that will increase the vote count.
So tracking will be coming to a close soon. Can we be expecting anything from you, Chotoro and Rhowaldt?
Yeah, I’ll PM an entry in a minute. However, my soul is as black as my coffee and/or tea, for I have used about 4 hours after all. Turns out 2 hours really isn’t feasible for me other than getting an idea down. O well
Your punishment is to write yet another tune for everyone’s listening enjoyment!
No … That wouldn’t be fair…
2 more tunes!!!
Just kidding… I’m looking forward to hearing it and it’s all in good fun!
i’m sticking with what i said before: still working on my entry for the Bleep compo, and too busy with that and other stuff. sorry!
No problem, good luck with that compo! Chotoro gets honorary 3rd by default! So he didn’t cheat by spending 4 hours (sort of)
hey scott, wouldn’t it have been strategically better to first make the tunes available and then make a public announcement?
guess when most people click on the posted links and realize that there’s nothing to hear or vote yet they won’t come back again…
Where can I listen to them? I see comments everywhere about the tracks being nice but I just can’t find any link? :S
damn keith303, i hope you get more anti-techno sample packs, because this is my no. 1 favorite song by you. i’m really not into most of the stuff you normally create, and i love this track, really cool.
robbie S, good effort as well, you can hear that it is no coincidence you made it this far in the compo.
same goes for chotoro, i doubt if i could’ve beat that for 3rd place.
and i must say, good job to everybody for joining in and making tracks and having a good time!
glad to hear so rhowaldt, thanks for the feedback!
Same thing for me here. This is a refreshing surprise. I’ve just added “timbermaw hold” in my car’s playlist. When I’m driving and come back @ home after a hard day at my office, I particularly need that kind of sound & mood.
(a bit more of what may seem like keith303 ass-kissing but is actually ‘credit where credit is due’
@keith303: even though the artistic choices in your songs are often not of my preference, i don’t cease to be amazed by the speed with which you can churn out a song that sounds so polished and nice. i am currently working on me entry for the Bleep music compo and compose on headphones only. today my wife was out so i decided to hook my laptop up to my surround set and check out how my track would sound through ‘regular’ speakers (surround settings switched off). it came out so much less clear and pronounced than it sounds on my headphones, and it disappointed me a bit. after several more listens, some tweaking and the realization that i would not be able to get it much better with my current level of knowledge and experience, i decided it to be finished.
maybe it would be a good idea for me to check out some of your .xrns files, and maybe get a feel for what you do to make it sounds like that.
And the winner is… Keith303! Was there ever any doubt?
Thanks to all for participating and writing some great new songs to listen to! And especially to Keith for preserving the space time continuum.
I’ll draw up the brackets in a couple hours.
Uhm… yes, I like to think so.
Nah, just kidding, getting second place is way, way, WAY, WAAAAAY better than I ever thought would be possible. “There ain’t no shame to be beaten by the master!”
Congrats on the win, Keith303!
