Lol, Moonriders… Yeh I totally after fx’ed that on top of footage and send it to an old Renoise forum member to make it sound more real and so I could post a youtube vid and make dblue post a GIF. Lol. 
I contemplated it was a copy having no original, then I started comparing your work with the hack job and it led me to start looking around imdb for someone on the set that met the criteria. I still think it’s suspect though, like how history is always written, as the person who I fingered most recently seems a little too established to do something like this. Now I’m leaning toward an uncredited.

The show is total garbage. Skipping through that episode just to find the damn bit with Renoise was torture, haha. Really cheesy stuff. But it was superb to see Renoise, even if they did ruin it with some stupid editing. I’m also curious to know how LFO’ing the Tone parameter of a Distortion2 helps to analyse voice patterns, but maybe it’s just a trick the feds are using these days!
I hate to admit that I’ve watched Lie To Me since episode one and have pretty thoroughly enjoyed it (I actually watched the most recent episode last night). I’m kicking myself for not noticing this when I watched the episode – I guess this proves once and for all that Renoise looks more like science than music… but isn’t that why we love it? 
they should also have used Renoise into “The Matrix”

Heh. Renoise is just exotic enough for stuff like this. It’s not uncommon to see all sort of non-mainstream gadgets and software used as “scifi-tools” in tv-series.
Looks like some lawyer told fox they really, really better buy a license for whatever software they used as this prop. Fox is pretty high profile but still pretty cheap: like Renoise. And Renoise looks technological and scientifical as all get out.

But it seems somebody involved knew enough about it to get it to look the way they did (i mean, come on, even changing themes or clicking tabs to get scope views, adding dsps… simple as it is to do, still way above what you would expect of just any old person staring flabbergasted…).
