Show Me Your Home Studios

Neato burrito. Have you posted pics yet? Feel like I might have seen some such pics at some point.

Agreed.

I will never pass something off for mastering that I haven’t spend a good deal of time listening to on both my monitors and my headphones. I think both are crucial.

Not entirely true:Use headphones for high details, use monitors for the great picture.

Also headphones are invulnerable to your room acoustics :P/>

WOW ?!? Had not seen that, will give it a wirl straight aways. it looks awesome. if i can master it this will really improve my workflow
thanks for the heads up

Here’s a picture of one of them. I lied about the dimensions of all of them, though. They all started out at 2’ by 4’. I had to cut some of the pieces of fiberglass to better accommodate available space.

In either case, always try to reference your mixes on multiple audio setups to check translation. That’s probably more important than where your mixing starts.

Quoting in case someone browsing this thread doesn’t know what good advice looks like.

Ah. Yeah, I saw this a while back. Nifty.

Agreed.

just did a few changes to mine.

zippedy doo dah :clownstep:

Oh, equators… sexy.
How do you like them? I think about getting them…

The wooden walls where already there when I moved in
Looking for a mfb522 at the moment
Great Pictures of studios on this thread!
have a nice day!

HERE are the pictures

Sorry for the late reply… The Equator D5s are amazing. I’m used to the Alesis M1 Active MK2, and I’ve got to say these D5s are in a league of their own. No comparison. I honestly think these are the best monitors money can buy in this pricerange. The guys at Equator are great people aswell, with the customers satisfaction allways at the highest priority.

Are you using the Nektar Panorama with Renoise? If so how is it functioning?

If your audience is listening primarily on headphones (which is usually the case nowadays), than they would actually be better than monitors.

At home…

That’s true. But then again, seen the same thing with guitar players every time. There are a lot of synth enthusiasts and even actual players, though, believe it or not. And some probably care more about rocking the gear than they do about proper producing. Fucking musicians…

Some maybe don’t and could have spent their money better on a better studio. Oh, well. Enjoy the gf pix?

I hate to say no, so i’m just gonna say not really, imo. They are actually just very important checks. You should check you mixes on ear-buds now, true. Maybe at one time u checked on mono a.m. radio type sound. It’s not much different except better.

That ipod dude is sooner or later gonna plug his ipod into his car stereo to show his friends your tune if your tune is worth sharing. If it sounds like ass at that point they gonna laugh at him and you. I’ve been laughed at enough to know…

lmao :D
