Keeping it simple

do such panels work well against ringing echoes and stuff? did you buy or is that diy? (cost?)

My babyproof-ish studio in the corner of our apartment. I call it Playpen Studio.

This ^ is the world’s greatest idea.

Thanks! Still a little imperfect, but better than nothing. :walkman:

Nice use of space, is the playpen to keep the kids out or to keep you in?

Either way, lol.

I want one of these around my easy chair for whenever I pull out my iPad and try to make some music. I swear my girls come running like dogs when you crinkle a food wrapper.

new house, new room, new photos:

@thalamus
nice basotect broadband absorbers! ;)

Cool keith!

They work nicely here to control the problems with the room, yes. These were already made and I bought them, after establishing what/where the problem areas/freqs were.

Is it drafty in your room Keith?

not as long as i don’t open the window.
is there something that indicates that it would be?

Popscreen + windscreen on your mic indoors :lol:/>

I guess you never actually recorded many vocals right ;)
You may want to leave off with the silly comments if you don’t know what you are talking about
Quite a lot of people have both on their mics all the time
The pop shield is used for pops when recording normal distance vocals
The other is a foam windshield that is used to cut out as much breath as possible when recording close proximity vocals
Neither of these cause any degradation in sound in average usage, so most people leave them on
Well done for trying to be funny though ;) (Hopefully that works out better for you next time)
