To avoid creating a new post for every comp, will post a link to each upcoming comp and the resulting podcast in this thread -
For those who missed it…
Speedcomp is a quick pointless music comp run every couple of months as a Facebook event with entries shared on Soundcloud.
The aim is to create a track in 30 minutes using a sample pack of 10 previously unheard sounds, selected each time by a different person (maximum sample length for the sample pack 5 seconds each, maximum length for finished tracks, 5 minutes).
Unofficial Renoise Workshop and SpeedComp 19 happening Saturday 5th of March as part of Square Sounds Melbourne.
If you can’t make it to the workshop, the comp kicks off at 4:15 pm AEST. Remote entries welcome, just make an entry in half an hour and post a downloadable Soundcloud link of your tune to the SpeedComp 19 event page on Facebook. All entries played on local radio followed by old mods etc.

Dope. Is there a way we’re supposed to document the time taken in composition, or is it just the honor system? Also, if I’m not on Facebook, is it possible to compete?
Yeah, documenting encouraged but not mandatory, if you’re not on FB samples posted here also - SPEEDCOMP 50 - Samples By FFF - breakcore.com.au and send finished entry to speedcompentry (at) gmail (dot) com. Most important thing is just to make something and not overthink it, some entries just sent in as one-off pseudonym etc.
