Not essential but it’d be nice to have the recording and play start when keys are played because it takes me a few seconds from when I hit the play button to when I hit the notes which leaves a gap at the beginning.

Not a real solution, but I now always have a 4 or 8-line pattern at the top both to give a count-in of sorts but also so I can set values on certain devices (via the fx columns), set all note columns off, and so on.
