F-em, the most recent fm synth, also arm etc, for 29 eur:
Uvi shade + uvi sparkverb for 90 euroā¦ incl a lot of space waste, a ton of samples synths (no idea why). The drums stuff might be interesting though:
0$
Gutted to have missed this
Tracktion Hyperion 25$
Need a dynamic EQ?
MeldaProduction have their MDynamicEQ free until July 16th.
Iāve only played with it for a few minutes but surprised to see it has a tube saturation feature and it looked nicer than Iād expect from Melda. The filter slope with resonance can make some interesting sounds when combined with the dynamic functionality.
Perhaps deserves an own thread or bump from an older developer years thread, but the KVR challenge for 2023 has a bunch of free tools to check out;
I havenāt checked any out yet, but in the past there were always a few goodies.
Someone at Native Instruments had made an error, EVERYTHING including third party stuff is 66% off. A lot of hardware has sold out, but all the software is still up. Just bought a U-He synth for Ā£53.00.
Thanks, I picked up Komplete Standard.
āWeāre offering everyone the legendary LA-2A Tube Compressor plug-in, absolutely free. Hurry, this unprecedented offer ends October 31st.ā
u-he 50% off at pluginboutque, diva , filterscape, repro, Bazille ā¦
Little Plate for free at soundtoys.
Did you find good offers so far?
Of course, just like every Black week. Iāll probably buy the Weiss Compressor/Limiter for 118 ā¬ instead of 297 ā¬. And Iām thinking about buying either Novum for 89,50 ā¬ instead of 179 ā¬ or Quanta 2 for 76 ā¬ instead of 128 ā¬, but Iām leaning towards Novum. And maybe Iāll āupgradeā my Phoscyon v1 to v2 for 29 ā¬, but Iām unsure. Apart from that I think that Iām holding back in buying anything else. I already got everything I need, thereās no need to buy any more synths, effects or mastering devices.
This upgrade is worth it, I love the Host note with the new sequencer and it sounds better
Yes, me, too. At the same time, there is a lot of room for improvements in the synths I use. I am really keen on Zebra 3, but I guess this will take another yearā¦ Also should remove synths, instead buying.
I found the Arturia thing the most attracting now. Lot of fun. Maybe it does not sound 1:1 like the original, but better instead Sadly not on sale.
Little Plate sounds not good to my ears. Just like the original EMT140? I used another EMT140 plugin back in the days, which sounded great already and only was 1MB installed Sadly forgot even the name.
FLStudio is now 150 Euro. Their pianoroll actually seems to be usable, not being a mouse click orgy, coming from a tracker. Any experience here?
Waveform 12 Pro now is 74,50.
I missed the softube focussing eq for 10 eur or so at plugininboutique. Then I realized that I have other plugins which can do the same job. I remember though it can be a real secret weapon when I tried it. Their Model 84 (Juno 106) is now 71 eur (with code āEXTRABLACKā). Well. there is Tal Unox. Your Weiss plugins seem to be extremely overpriced though. Voodoo stuff.
Iām sure either Acid-V or Phoscyon v2 works equally well.
Doesnāt it pop up new windows for everything? I think that will get annoying.
I have it and itās great, Softube is great but if I could do it over Iād just get the Arturia V collection as itās the better deal if you love the old synths, V collection 10 will probably include Acid-V.
A year ago Iāve tried to try the demo, but it didnāt work. And they increased their upgrade price, which kinda pisses me off a little. On the other hand 29 ā¬ isnāt very much, so Iām still thinking about it. But sooner or later I will have to purchase anyway, because youāre probably right. In v2 there are more options in terms of the sound. And you can easily read whatās written in the GUIā¦
But Arturia stuff doesnāt work properly in Renoise, right? And honestly Iām also not a big fan of their GUIs.
Absolutely! Drop the shit you donāt use everytime! A couple of years ago Iāve dropped literally hundrets of VSTs and I only kept the few quality ones Iām using all the time. For example, why would you need a lot of substractive synths if one single synth could do all the stuff youāre doing with all the other synths, too? Instead of having a mess with hundrets of VSTs itās the better choice to focus on 1-3 synths max and take advantage of their possibilities. Thatās what I personally also have to improve. I mean, Iāve got Omnisphere, in theory Omnisphere is all you need because it can do everything and no other synth is required. I just have to take advantage of it.
Primarily good stuff, secondarily industry standard stuff, not to mention itās the exact same quality like the original hardware. And you donāt want to know the price of the original hardware. The plugins are expensive, but not overpriced in comparison. And if you buy within the black week, you can save up to 70% and get it for a āgood priceā. Btw. if you purchase directly on Softube instead of PluginBoutique, you can save even more! In this case you can get the Weiss Compressor/Limiter for 107 ā¬. Buy it for one time, use it for the rest of your life. No need to buy a compressor or a limiter ever again.
If the demo doesnāt work on your system then I wouldnāt get it
You are right about the GUI readability, itās also much butter.
There used to be quite a few GUI issues in particular but they are all fixed with the latest Renoise update and the problem I had with Arturia Solina was fixed by reinstalling so I no longer have any trouble I believe.
I use the Arturia V collection plugins on every track these days, itās really good value in my opinion especially when you buy and upgrade around their sales, I have v8 and can upgrade to v9 for 99 euros right now and get Augmented STRINGS, Augmented VOICES, Prophet-5 V, Prophet-VS V, KORG MS-20 V, SQ80 V plus a few reworked plugins.
Prophet-VS is one of the worst sounding synths Iāve ever heard though, was that ever popular?
Gforceās Imposcar2 still sounds fantastic to me. Currently on sale for 14.99 GBP + VAT.
I believe you get Imposcar2 for free when you buy the latest issue of ComputerMusic, thatās about 4 GBP
