I wonder if the beat would be evne more impressive if you would pan kick and snare slightly… I know, unusual, but sometimes seems to work. Somehow divide the layers more clearly. Or using two different short rooms?

Maybe it needs a bit more low end below 100 Hz and I find the stereo image is quite wide.

What are you listening to this track on?The sub bass is bananas here,It might not be translating well.Looking at the spectrum analyzer, it’s telling me there is plenty there too > 100 Hz

You are right,i did restrict the width in this track a good bit,it was more of an artistic choice though,specifically for this style.I wanted to restrict it because it lets more frequencies clash and muddle with each other. I’m not going for clean and polished with this one.Basically dirties the mix up a bit.

The low end wasn’t boomy, but weak, especially the kick. And the hats were too loud.
Your new mix is MUCH better. Personally I think the bass is too soft and the hats are still a little bit too loud.

I realized yesterday that I’m using too much filters and with too steep settings in Renoise to get rid of the low end. This results in a midrangy nasal sounding mix. Thanks, I’ll reduce the hats a bit and increase the kick slightly as well.
This was the very first version. I might finish this too.
