This came up in the linux laptop thread and I thought I’d put it here in case anybody was interested. There’s a VSTi port of ZynAddSubFX, available at the ‘official’ ZynAddSubFX forums:

IIRC, at this point, you need to install Zyn_VDX_VST-2.4.1.490alpha ‘update’ over ZynAddSubFX-VDX_VST-2.4.1.480beta ‘base install’. 490alpha really came out a stable beta, so that’s where it’s at.
It works and seemed stable on my win7 x64 systems (ugly as ever), but I haven’t done any extensive testing or anything.
