I clearly prefer listening to interesting mediocre stuff than to polished, soulless, generic creations. For instance I love to listen to old MODs and stuff, those things always have character, which is very important.
99% of existing music already sound “the same” within its style. And this will be intensified as soon as AI creations will flood the market. This kind of “music” will be even less interesting. It’s like the TV program, which is getting worse and more moronic day by day, because it adapts to the average intelligence of mankind, which is obviously always decreasing more and more. Luckily it’s not that hard to ignore crappy music or crap in general.

I’m not sure you can really come up with original composition with AI as it is just trained of a large model of millions of songs, I suppose it’s semi-original due to the sheer amount of source material but I don’t really know…
AI is annoying for sure but there are ways (FOR NOW) that we could combat that
record yourself making the song using only sounds you made or sampled from things that where before the creation of AI.

Seemingly you don’t even understand what “music” actually is. And btw, there’s no difference between using a computer and a guitar. You didn’t build the computer and you didn’t build the guitar as well, and both are totally worthless until someone is using them, for instance to create music. Music is about the artistic achievement, and “art” is always about human emotions, which is fundamental. You have to be the composer and arranger, not a machine. And a composer and arranger is the only one who turns sounds (samples, VSTs, presets, guitar, whatever) into music. Very simple. @BriocheBaps described perfectly what AI creations actually are:

No, but the fact that a human gave her painting material to pretend that she’s an artist. Just like the chickens in your video aren’t artists, but the one who placed that mini piano at the feeding place obviously likes the imagination of chickens creating music by playing the piano.
I do however understand what you are saying though, I personally enjoy listening to the birds outside a lot of the time though I recognize that it is primarily just them searching for a mate and stuff like that and they don’t sing for the sake of art, I as a pon- I mean human… Interoperate their wonderful song as art but the birds don’t mean for it to be, I suppose that art is a pretty human thing, lol.

Music creation is art and skill which making our souls refined and more complex (well, yes, no all music). It is also a joy.
It’s an indescribable feeling when I listen to music written by me and I get goosebumps from how it turned out.
I’ve been writing music for over 30 years and I won’t let AI interfere with that process.
have you guys been able to make any music? I’ve only been able to make sexy chics, and some cool little video clips, haven’t been able to do any coding just yet, i was trying to make a TUI but the model i was using didnt work well for it. I’m thoroughly enamored with what we will be able to achieve right now. so far i know of 2 wonderfully free sites, but one is highly dangerous right now. So the good one huggingface, gets my mention. just go to the Spaces tab, and you can use those, usually unless the space wants you to login, or asks for API key. after that, i haven’t found much in the mode of free. like actual free.
I would really like to train an LLM, but don’t have a vcard array or money to use one, but would thoroughly like to create An LLM of the “Hardcore Continuum”, just like the entirety of it, basically everything that the hardcore continuum is comprised of. Pulp magazines, gritty detective radio shows, protopunk, nowave, japanese manga, beat poetry/literature, speedcore, ragga-jungle, speed garage, gabber, future house, synthwave, jtek, Amen Tearout, each with their respective heading and distinction. I get the idea deepseek may be best for the distinction.
