A general message

Living the quarantine!

I have been confined at home 7 days (I only go out to throw out the garbage and the weekly fast purchase). But this will be very long. Fortunately, I have the Internet.

How are you doing?

I hope that in your countries your rulers are not stupid! In Spain we are doing very difficult things for the entire population and the government. We are all working together and our government is responding!!!

Do everything in your power to make your governments work to resolve the pandemic as soon as possible, please. This is an annual problem. Tighten your belts!

I hope that civility, discipline, respect for the rest will instill the hearts of all humans in these difficult times.

Hi Raul,

First I want to thanks you for the tool you made for the Keylab mk2. It works pretty well with my Keylab 49 mk2 so thanks a lot for this very good tool.

I have been confined 5 days. Yes, Internet is useful during the quarantine. Renoise is useful too.

I hope you and your family and friends will be fine and safe during the quarantine.

Here in Germany, about 25 % of the population still thinks it is all make-belief. I guess mainly because they are unable to relate to how exponential growth behaves, and that we have to react before we actually see infected people around us.

Also the society is largely made up of pussies and hippsters nowadays - they complain and wine when they cannot see their buddies for a few days.
And they, like the government call this ‘extreme measurements’.
I don’t get these folks.
Excuse me, but they are really pissing me off.
I grew up in East Germany and have seen harder confinements and empty grocery stores and the lack of TP on a regular basis. But there was still enough food and the overall situation did not feel that bad.
But sure, one cannot compare that to the hardcore capitalism we are experiencing today.

I think people are so weak because due to globalization und such they can have everything at every time they want - and got used to it. So much so that they pee their pants when they forget their phones at home.

I already had my share of staying at home with my infected child and wife. We are half-way thru.
But then again i like staying at home anyways - so i don’t feel anything ‘extreme’ like they are saying.

I’m in the US, in Michigan, in the county with the most cases in our state, Wayne County. We aren’t fully locked down but I imagine it’s going to happen sooner or later, so I just wish it would happen sooner.

I’ve had a lot of time to do creative things but I’ve just been consumed with anxiety and wondering about the future. Haven’t really been able to do much except sit around, watch videos, sleep. Yesterday I finally got back to work on some new music so I’m hoping I can finish up this album I’ve been putting together. At least it’s something fun to focus on right now.

Yo Ppl peace and good health wishes from northern germany. Also sitting at home w/ my girlfriend. Came to visit her with light package before it was evident what was going to happen. Now staying with her until stuff is over. I’m the virus catcher, go for shopping etc. Washing hands sucks, my hands are close to getting dry and sore. I show no symptoms of fever or strong cough yet, wish me luck. Though I’d like the thought of getting the bug early, coming back to health and be immune before things get hard and hectic…

Went walking in the city (we may still go out and I kept distance to all other people), and is such an eerie mood, little cars, little people, little noise.

I am glad I brought a tablet with lots of ebooks and my laptop, headphones and small midi keyboard! I was thinking twice when I bought the stuff, like will I need it or is just waste of money, but I am so glad now I have the stuff here with me. I’m gonna try to renoise a lot these days. Trying to make some corona tunes. Practise meditation. Lurk around the internet. Us losers and nerds are in good position: we are used staying at home doing nerdy stuff, not much change for some of us.

How about a virus containment motto compo? I mean lots of us are stuck in the flat, and we all have our renoise at hand!

One day at a time folks. If you let it get to you, you’ll only do more damage to yourself. I’ve lived through 5 distinct pandemics in the last 60 years. This one is actually less threatening than the others in my opinion. Most who contract it do just fine in recovery and it seems to effect those of us who are older or have pre-existing medical issues to begin with. MERS, SARS, Ebola had the potential for much, much higher mortality rates than COVID-19. Love and care for your loved ones, be compassionate and respect others, live each day one at a time, be thankful for what you have. Oh, and if you have some spare time now, make some music. :wink:
