13 years ago on a rainy sunday I discovered Renoise. I don’t remember the exact date but I do remember the pure joy that I felt when I realized: this is the software I had been looking for since forever. From that day on being in a confined space has always been less of a problem, it helped me through periods of severe depression, it helps me every day getting into the right mood. It helps me right now.

I am not a fan of speculation, doom mongering, fingerpointing. I just want to express my gratitude to the devs and the community. It is a weird branch of reality we are in. Shitty situation for everyone, with a special flavour of shit for artists, musicians, performers… We might be Frederick in these times. I really hope we are!

Speaking of which - I really miss that file pool the old forum had. Would it be possible to create a new one? Some place where everybody would just dump… err… donate samples, instruments, themes, lua-snippets etc for everyone to use? I’d be more than happy to share some of my serverspace (and time) for something like that. But it should be official, centralized and maybe curated also.

Again I turn to the United States and its inhabitants, because I know that we are going to have all the problems with the United States. Your union of States, like the rest of the countries of the world, know perfectly (or should do) what the situation is with the Covid-19. If many people die in your states, it will be your fault, because you do not take steps to solve the problem (which is now the virus). Assume your responsibilities as citizens and as rulers. Right now it is no use blaming others (China). It’s amazing how you behave, like babies. Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!

I repeat it again, you have a more serious problem in the US than in other very small countries. In small countries it is easier to contain the virus because the territory is small, there are far fewer inhabitants and the virus is more feasible to trace.

As the virus expands massively in the United States, many of your compatriots will die. You are already demonstrating it and you have just started.

Please, if there is an American in these forums, do not take it as a joke and inform your States.

The USA has a much bigger problem than China, and that is THE POPULATION for teaching, for loving freedom, for customs. They are not obedient like in China or other countries. In the US, it is very difficult for citizens to obey the authorities!

I suggest right now, that the US solve the following steps:

  • Keep the minimum of your war troops in other countries.
  • Replenish all your warfare power and begin to spread it throughout the United States to help contain the virus, to help people on a 100% humanitarian and national security mission.
  • Start to intervene textile factories and manufacture yourselves, with your capabilities, everything that your sanitary systems need.
  • Cancel your ridiculous payments for the treatments and that any citizen can be treated against the Coronavirus.
  • Use an departure of just under 1/4 of your GDP to pay your expenses.
  • Refine the entire population, keeping basic supplies (supermarkets, pharmacies, etc) strictly functioning.
  • And most importantly, the rulers must not deceive the population, but rather duly inform them of the catastrophe that yourselves are about to suffer.
  • If your central power (Trump) is not up to scratch, let each State, each district, take care of solving the problem immediately.
  • Coordinate everything.
  • Especially, extreme the measures of confinement and safeguard of all the people older than 60 years.
  • The virus may have mutated and behave differently. The only way is to prevent. Do not spread! You have a lot of the population scattered as if nothing happened!

This is going very fast and is very concerning. Containing your population is going to be very difficult. Make a serious plan with your troops, to help your inhabitants.

Stop blaming other countries and solve your problem. You are going to be like this for several months (possibly all the year 2020). Prepare yourselves !!!

This is not a joke. In the EU each country is solving the problem as it can, but the US, given its situation, is more delicate than in the rest of the world. You have entire cities with millions of inhabitants. It is going to be a huge disaster !!!

Your own president could die (given his age). Keep up the joke!

Seriously? Relax you! Things DO NOT solve themselves. This is a global problem for EVERYONE! You included. People’s inaction causes other people to die. Each with his conscience.

I hope that you and your family and friends never have problems. But that state of mind, the relaxation that you demand so much now, can turn against you. Let’s keep thinking that everything has to be solved by others. So let’s go! When a your family member dies, you talk to me about relaxation, please.

Raul, look bro, are you doing everything in your power personally to combat the virus? Yes? You have taken every precaution that YOU personally can to contribute to lessening the spread? Good. Then there’s little more you can do in any practical sense. Anything else is out of your hands so why get all worked up over it? I’m fairly confident that most folks are taking the situation seriously but there is only so much you can do as an individual that has a measurable positive effect. Just do what you can and yes, the rest works itself out because others are taking the steps they are capable of too.

Sorry but this is not true. In most countries, their rulers must take drastic measures to get citizens to obey. We are taught like this. We love freedom and all that. People do not obey if they do not receive a fine or prison terms. That’s right dear friend. This is happening in all countries, almost none is saved.

  1. First step, the government RECOMMENDS to the entire population a series of steps for the problem. Most are ignored! Look at it in your country and in other countries. Almost all of us copied.

  2. Second step, the government ORDERS the entire population a series of steps. Even so, there are many people who skip them. Not everyone is as good as us, we are very obedient and we comply with everything.

  3. Third step, if the situation worsens, the government OBLIGES the entire population a series of steps. I don’t even want to talk about this.

This has only just begun, the chain has not even ended, imagine how long all this can be. We could be in severe trouble all year 2020. I don’t want that.

If it is necessary to speak for people to get moving, talk!

Just to be clear. Most countries will not be able to face this situation alone! That we are all very arrogant! We believe we are the kings of the world! If anyone believes that governments, on their own, are going to solve your problems, go prepare yourself!

Forgive me for extending myself. I’m just commenting on things. But look, while the EU is going to face the problem (some delusions think they are already halfway there), the US comes behind, and Russia comes behind. It will affect all countries. And the most worrisome are those where there is a huge population, big cities. This will not stop until there is a vaccine or simply everyone is contaminated. The pandemic may again return to countries that have already overcome their particular epidemic.

Raul, it’s been like this since the dawn of civilization. You think the coronavirus pandemic is bad? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Death and more recently https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spanish_flu are worth studying for comparison to what is happening today. Generally speaking, plagues throughout our history were not contained by men, they burned out from natural causes and events.

Most governments have LIMITED power in telling or ordering their populations what to do. There will always be some percentage of the population that resents being told what to do and that has unpredictable consequences as well. Should we add insurrection to the list? Here in the States currently 1 in 3 people are being told to stay home.

Unless your in a position to do something directly like provide a vaccine or other medicine to combat the virus, you can only do what is in your power to do. Worrying about what other people or countries can or will do is rather pointless.

We are what we are and we react according to our wants and needs. I’m relaxed because I know it’s out of my hands and I’ve done what I can. Btw, my wife, myself, my wife’s brother who lives with us, 2 of my great-grandchildren and 1 grandchild are all under voluntary quarantine in my home. We’ve done what we can.

In what State of USA are you? I am in the Comunidad Valenciana (east of Spain). Here it has not yet given very strong. But Madrid (capital) is literally collapsed. And two of our most important cities too. It is a disaster. If you live in a relatively small town, it seems different.

It is true that many of us do everything in our power, but others do not. So we must speak, communicate and report! The irresponsibility of many make the problem much longer.

Unfortunately, what happens in the US affects everyone. What happens in China affects us all over the world. What happens in Russia affects us all over the world. What happens in the EU affects everyone. It is to worry. Keep calm, but be alert!

Take good care of yourself, family comes first. So we are all struggling with what we can. The word, convincing, has a lot of power here. We cannot remain silent.

going home and me and my two kids will self isolate mostly stay indoors , im gonna get some good films concentrate on my music wash my hands a shitload stay away from people and ignore the news coz it just scares the shit outta me and causes anxiety , i thought this was no big deal we alll did and now i feel like were in an open prison and theres no future , but im not
gonna carry on feeling like this got to be positive or we will give up , time to not ignore the risk but ignore the horror show just for peace of mind and the strength to get through this peace and love people x

I’m 99,9 % at home with my wife and 5 year/old kid, we are playing with Legos, making sport at home together like zumba and watching TV and the internet…

Activity is near stopped in France, but let’s play and enjoy home. :house: :hearts:

The mainstream modelers were ridiculously expense then too. (Maya was always out of reach fiscally) We got started with Blender 2.28 all those years ago. “The new 2.82 is so much nicer!”, the wife says. :slight_smile:

Actually, u-he updated both the Zebra2 and Zebra 2 Dark Zebra vsts recently. I’ve been diving into those. (Blender is still the bigger beast.) :slight_smile:
