Do You Know A Powerfull Arpeggiator (Vst Or Vsti) ?

Hello :)

Do you know a powerfull vst arpeggiator that allow to play any sounds of any vsti ?

Or a VSTi with a powerfull arpeggiator ?

Thank you :)

have you tried out the Epic Arpeggiator Tool (Renoise 2.6)? it arpeggiates your notes, so if the notes play a VSTi, that will be arpeggiated.

I think he wants something that does this live aka realtime.
I have Albino 3 which has a nice arpeggiator internally.
Don’t know that quick which free ones are very powerfull as well.

Sugarbytes Thesys is a crazy MIDI sequencer/Arpeggiator. It’s not free though.

Does renoise allow you to pass midi from one vst to another? Last time i tried either it didn’t or i just didn’t know how to make it work.

I guess it would be cool if renoise included some typical arps as midi that would be easy to paste into songs. Users could add to these. Renoise already has functions that could create variations on them. I don’t see why you couldn’t do this yourself, though.

It is quite easy to program then cut and paste some generic arps in renoise. Then you can change some of the chord tones to lead-in notes and such when necessary, nice… if renoise were diatonic aware this would be very simple, but still, with a little hand editing, can’t you already do everything you want?

I know this isn’t exactly what you asked, but if you approach this question from a slightly different perspective, your question explains exactly why i like trackers.

Thanks for all your answers :)

Kirnu is a free arpeggiator vst for win/mac

http://www.artovaarala.com/

haven’t tried it, though, just saw it on KVR the other day. Looks pretty powerful

Kirnu is a mad kind of sick, and it’s free. :w00t:

I think either link will get you where you need to go.

Hi everyone,

Has anybody managed to get Kirnu working in renoise yet? From using reason’s RPG8 arpeggiator, it seems I need to route the note data generated from Kirnu in Instrument Bank00 through to the synth in Instrument Bank01. I’ve looked at the manual regarding routing etc, but i’m obviously missing something.

I’m pretty much a beginner – I’ve only been using renoise about a month and been learning audio/music from scratch since the end of January after buying Reason 5, so i’ve still got stacks to learn. Seems endless the amount of things that you have to understand…

Hope you guys can help!

@arecibo

For example, the link is workaround for windows, not very smart method though. ;)

After using Renoise for a while you will think “Why the heck do anyone use Reason?”

Thanks satobox,

I’ll have a look into that, nice one. (btw, is internal midi routing coming in a future version?)

ha! Yeah, I think i’m nearly there actually. I must say though in Reason’s defence, it’s good fun and a great learning experience programming synths from scratch and patching things visually. Gave me a good grounding I think. Reason’s user manual is pretty comprehensive.

thesys looks awesome!!!

but it’s fucked i can’t route it directly within renoise :(

Is it possible to use Kirnu with VSTs in Renoise? If so, could somebody explain how to do it? The Kirnu manual doesn’t explain this part.

I set its MIDI in to ‘1’, and its MIDI out to ‘2’, then put the VST on track 2, set to receive on MIDI channel 2, then played notes in Kirnu, but they don’t affect the VST. I’m sure I’m doing something stupid, it should be pretty simple, shouldn’t it?

Sugar Bytes also makes Consequence, which is an amazing arp, but you will have to do workarounds, if you wants its midi. anyways… lately I have been demoing some VSTi, and frankly, I have found this interesting, and its got a killer arp in it… http://www.synapse-audio.com/dune.html

Maybe this thread helps? Hi.. I Need Instructions On Midi- Vsti To Vsti

All I can say is, somebody who writes:

isn’t helping me, please stop answering my questions. I don’t want to use Dune, thankyou very much. Why are you suggesting things which are irrelevant to my question?

Listen to the Sugarbytes Thesys sound demos:

and compare them to Kirnu:

I’m surprised that Sugarbytes didn’t make better demos, they hardly sell Thesys.
