I recently came across FreeVerb3. A free IR reverb with 0 latency. This makes it heavy on the CPU, but it’s still useable.
To use it extract the files Freeverb3VST_Impulser2.dll and freeverb3.ini. (The other files are for the “normal” reverb, which is not so good IMO.)
A complete sample CD released under CC license:
- 196MB Film score samples (44.1kHz, 24 bit wav)
- 259MB Kontakt instruments (44.1kHz, 16 bit wav)
- 6MB Battery kits (44.1kHz, 16 bit wav)
- 91MB Loops in Rex and Acid format (44.1kHz, 16 bit)
- 3MB One shots (44.1kHz, 16 bit wav)
Two sample based VSTis:
Tascam GVI piano
NOTE: there is a folder named LCC in the .zip file. (Still, as of today.) Delete that folder prior to installation. It installs some Synchrosoft stuff, which is not needed at all.
Yellow Tools Independence Free.
To have the 2GB library on the sample drive (if you have one) you must install it there. You can install the VST .dll file separetely. Then copy the library to the installation folder (see the included .pdf for more info).
nice one, bookmarking this thread for later reading! =)
