Well, you’re right. Next time I tried I didn’t have this problem. Anyway, sometimes (need to figure out when/why) it gives me an error about the device busy and that there will be no sound, but still it works. I still have to test this with an external soundcard.
Anyway, the other problem is that it seems I cannot use a midi device on both Renoise. Do I need some program that let me do this?
Apart from that, you would like a low latency while playing your hardware.
I got the same problem with loading songs, now using SSD to speed things up but it would be cool to seamlessly blend some sounds instead of total silence between songs.
It’s discussed here:
So, I was working my way through a load of tracks I made a few years back, and it made me realise how tedious it is to load in a track everytime if you are just skimming it.
I thought a good idea would to be to have some kind of playlist, so that a load of .xrns files could be lined up, and played without having to load the next song each time.
Any thoughts?
and here:
there was a little-known feature that allowed one to place a file PlayList.txt containing a list of .rns/.xrns files in a single directory that would load the next .rns/.xrns upon a F000. i just tried this out (i’ve used it in the past) and it’s no longer working. has it been removed intentionally?
