Wow! That sounds just amazing… for any DAW really. Did anyone try this out in Renoise? Would be very interesting to hear some feedback on this one.

Have not used it for some time. But it did (and probably still do) work flawless in renoise.
You can (full or partially) freeze single instruments, and/or tracks.
It can also unload instruments temporary to save RAM.
It’s a really versatile and useful tool.

Hi all, I’m looking for a plugin that will play long samples (like guitar or vocal lines) over a number of patterns without me needing to go back to the first pattern to trigger the note. Looking round on the forum I found someone talking about Energy XT. I tried it out, its what I need except for some reason I cannot assign the vsti to a track, it’s ouput is mapped straight to Renoise’s master output and I therefor cannot tweak the sound in Renoise. Using Energyxt For `freezing` Renoise Tracks

I have just purchased energyXT on the strength of this as this has been one of my most wanted functionalities in renoise for a while now as I constantly max out on CPU. Just thought I`d give a quick guide on this here as this may be helpful to others. Render the track you want to freeze using renoise`s wav rendering options. i.e. muting all other tracks.
