[Solved] The Vst Recabinet 3 Won't Initialize

I can’t get the vst “recabinet 3” to load/initialize in Renoise… Anyone who knows why? (I downloaded demo from www.recabi.net)

Please read here.

The plugin seems not a SynthEdit plugin, but the cause of the problem is the same, I think.
I’ve tested the demo and works fine here. (win Vista 32bit)

Also when you report the vst issue, please read this first. ;)

This is the only plugin giving me headache amongst several others, so the security things don’t apply. I tried allowing my user to “write” anyway but it didn’t help.

Hey, what OS are you using?

Tring “Run As Admin” doesn’t help?? (in right click menu on the Renoise icon)

Win7, 64bit

And no, Run as admin doesn’t work either

Ahh, I see.
Maybe you’ve installed 64bit version of the plugin, right??
Renoise Win7 version is still 32bit host currently, so you should install 32bit version of recabinet 3.

I did install the 64bit version of the plugin yes. Will check tomorrow if 32bit goes better! Thanks!

Progress and new obstacle!

Now it loads, but generates a sine wave squeal at maximum volume that can’t be turned off.

Any ideas?

I guess it’s an Audio feedback.

Since I’m not so familiar with such Amp plugin, maybe you had better to ask how to use recabinet 3 to their forum.
If only you want to avoid the feedback, what is necessary is just using headphone, I think. ;)

Problem(s) solved:

Had to:

  1. get x32 bit plugin
  2. set buffer size to a number by the power of 2
  3. put an amp before the cabinet (lol)

Thanks for your help!
