Yes, that’s the 16% in me Certainly the vocals are highpitched and autotuned
That’s a great suggestion. I really have to fight with webspace, so thanks! I’ll compress it to rar with the new url, so I’ll hit two birds with one shot.
And once again: Thank you all!
I´d also go for 3 if you ask me but way simpler. (We don´t need floodcontrol and other stuff I think)
I don´t know either if this would work out but you could make a simple kind of guestbook for each entry with a few tables (like name, comment, rate) but without having every comment and rate on the screen.
could look something like that:
I only want to make suggestions for the look like here since my php abilities are not really mentionable (yet)
edit
new revision 8 looks wonderful
Also no glitches with Mozilla
First of all, i wouldn’t use javascript and i wouldn’t do pop-ups since a lot of browsers surpress pop-up windows and the technique used at cdrwinkel.com doesn’t work in e.g. Mozilla FireFox. (latest edition)
Using guestbooks scripts to tinker with is great for getting ideas on how you can figure out a solution, but i would program things from scratch.
The best option is to use MySql database and use ideas from e.g. PHPBB.
Not only do you have a good structure with the phpBB-idea, it is a good core for different compo’s because you can change the the layout-style and design and it gives the opportunity to do whatever you want with the web-layout.
The data is in the database and will remain always the same, it’s just being pulled from it and structured on the webpage.
It is much work to do if you have never done this before, but what works most when being busy with PHP, is just rip out snippets of code of existing scripts and play with it, this gives a good build-up learning curve:
You discover how the details work of a script
You learn to know how to use it
You learn know how to combine it with other functions, because you try and figure it out
It’s fun and addictive.
You build up the structure from scratch so it will be your own core script design even though you stole the ideas from existing scripts, but this is how the world works.
Which reasons exactly? I can not really imagine why a listener wants to have lofi files since he can get the sources and is able to encode them for his own pleasure afterwards.
On the other side if we get visitors outside from the community it would be of course a good idea.
Dunno, try to convince me please
btw.
I think I´ll go spamming the compo these days on various sites. (e.g. CTG)
