You could try turning it off with the space button, but if that doesn't work i guess you'll just have it going untill your licence expires. :P

Fucking epic!

Thanks man, couldn't have done it without your guidance. :)

kazakore had it on for an hour, and i think that's the first time i've seen dblue use the word 'fuck', so i figured it would be a wise move to listen to this tune. it is, indeed, fucking epic.

Is it wrong I left that to play for about half an hour while making dinner?

Not in the least. That thing is epic.

It start playing before Renoise has even displayed it GUI and doesn't need to be in Play mode to do its thing. Demo users can listen to songs just as well as the rest of us so licence expiry wouldn't help.

demosong :walkman:

I was going to say the exact same thing. I know there is already one demosong with no sample/instrument data but would say this is also demo material personally.

I made a neverending ranomized tune with invisible melodies based on dblue's tuned devices: https://www.yousendi...LUENYSHp2Wmc9PQ
The frequencies i used were copy/pasted from this page: http://www.phy.mtu.e.../notefreqs.html

It sounds mostly like some guys on acid with keyboards jamming for hours :P

Now we have songs that play without pressing play, the next step is to make them play without starting renoise!
thanks for those awesome tips by the way!

It was a noobish joke you silly, of course i knew that. :P

Glad you all liked it, if you want to use it as demo material then go ahead. I could polish it a bit and make some adjustments maybe, i see some room for improvement here and there.

Now we have songs that play without pressing play, the next step is to make them play without starting renoise!

the next step is to make songs that don't play, no matter how often you press play. it's easy. just build your entire song and put F000 (BPM=0) on the master track for each line.

Hey thanks dblue, without this, wouldn't have had a clue that the harder you hit the reset button the further it ends up in the lfo sequence.. now of course it'll keep moving from their but at a rate of one full cycle every 60.000 lines it shouldn't make an audible difference :)
Anyway. I think i'll (try and) use this for a custom lfo device for dubstep and other bass heavy stuff live/in track so I can bind a midi controller and still get only accurate 1/2/3/4/6/8/16 etc values. Hydra > custom LFO > LFO frequency :D

This is too much science for me, when i take a look at the dsp-chain, but its very PHAT.

thanks for re-upping.

But i have a general question. Why does the trackmute have no effect on such kind of songs ?

Because you are using Mute Mode = Off (Don't Trigger Note Events)

There are not note events, it's all done by DSPs.

Try loading a sample, putting a mpReverb in with Duration at maximum and toggle the Mute. You will hear the reverb tail still.

Now change Mute Mode to Mute (Silence Audio Signals) and try again.

Mute Mode is found in Option Menu -> Mute Mode

Wow, this is so nice... could you tune the stutter device as well even though it's deprecated?

Here is a Renoise 2.7 .XRNS file that demonstrates some other tuned native devices:
dblue-tuned-devices.xrns

The following devices are included:
Flanger, Ringmod, Filter, Lofi, Comb Filter, Chorus, Phaser

Extremely cool. Huge fan of this kind of creative effecting.
