⮚ Renoise 3.2.1 & Redux 1.1.1 released

They can be downloaded at the Renoise Backstage now.

This is a “.1” release with just a bunch of fixes here and there (from the past weeks) feedback. If everything’s OK with the builds they will be published as non beta builds next week. I wanted to give the authors of the bug reports a chance to quickly verify the fixes.

Songs saved with this version are fully compatible with the 3.2 “final” release so it should be safe to switch between the beta and final versions.

Reply in this thread to discuss and report issues for the betas please.
betas are now final.

Just in case anyone will stumble on it - use another browser for now.

P.S. Thx for good work, will check out soon!

Thanks for the quick bugfix update taktik

@taktik My issue of the envelope/sample for the “tick” sound now works great! Both with One Shot turned on, and off, as well as just removing the looping feature. Both work. Fantastic! Thank you

Nice, many thanks for making our Renoise experience a bliss!

I also love the format of the changelog, very nice to read and useful!

May i point to this small report with 2 issues, should be quick and easy to fix?

The missing taskbar icon and Windows going into Nirvana when minimizing is probably just a matter of setting a different Window Style.

This seems to be correct now!

Double checked almost everything mentioned here under All platforms / Linux - it’s all fixed!

Considering my own thread things you’ve mentioned are fixed which is really good, i’ve highlighted all fixed bugs with :white_check_mark: in corresponding topic, but there are still some things to do :upside_down_face:

+ There is new entry under Aliased icons: KeyAlt_Apple@1.5x.bmp

No. Pdc test device with "pdc only" option

The Enhanced Tracking Protection thing seems not to be the problem. Clearing cookies or the cache in Firefox should make it work again.

It’s unfortunately not. I looked at this 2 times but didn’t found out why windows is actively restoring the windows. It’s maybe a feature. I don’t know.

Taskbar icons are missing on purpose here too. The windows are sticky on the main window, so clicking on the task bar buttons wouldn’t do something useful.

Hah! Literally didn’t know this was a bug. Tonight I had to remove Satin from old songs to get them to load; I only discovered by checking the log. cheers @taktik

Windows 10 Firefox 69.0.3 x64 and Ubuntu (based) Firefox 69.0.2 x64, no problems at all with backstage.

Ok, it’s still quite a strange design without the proper Taskbar Icons to be able to switch to and restore the extra windows. If i compare it to other applications for example, say Steam spread out over two monitors, i will get one icon for the main window on the main screen and two icons on the second screen for the friendslist and chat windows. A graphics application like Paintshop Pro will have extra taskbar icons for the tabs within the application and if i drag out a tab from a Webbrowser like Firefox, i’ll get pretty much another instance of the browser. When using something like a tool palette window style, it’s usually not having a way to maximize or minimize, closing would also reattach it. The Taskbar icons usually do the preview for the Taskswitcher and handle any restoring functionality. Maybe instead of letting the window totally vanish, intercept the WM_MINIMIZE and WM_CLOSE and at least reattach the window back to the main window? The maximized state not being stored can be somewhat worked around by manually resizing the window on the second screen to it’s full view and not use the maximize button. If it’s too much hassle for now i can live with it, doesn’t make Renoise unusable.

All work correctly! Thanks you!

Thank you very much for developing this new version!

EDIT: Split bug report to "Flip button” in automation editor does not adjust custom curves

A post was split to a new topic: Last point is not present in automation’s “Process” functions

Works fine now.

There seems to be Renoise 3.21 stable in the backstage now, in case you did not realize.

Seems to be new. Yesterday evening it wasn’t there.
